A Note on Covid-19 and Streamlining your Appointment Setting

To speed up your wait time please be sure to include as much information as possible about your vehicle and windshield.  Certain details about your vehicle are needed to provide a proper price quote for a windshield and unfortunately the VIN number does not provide enough information.  When you contact us please make sure to include the yearmake and model of the vehicle, as those are absolutely required to obtain a quote.  Also please be sure to list any extra features that pertain to the windshield options on your vehicle that you are aware of.  If your vehicle is somewhat newer (built within the past 10 years or so) you can check your buyer’s guide invoice or Carfax report that lists vehicle options.  Newer vehicles have certain windshield options that can affect the price and functionality of your vehicle’s safety features as it pertains to the windshield. The Lane Departure Warning System, Forward Collision Alert,  Adaptive Cruise Control, Automatic Rain-Sensing Wipers, Heated Wiper Park Area, and Electrochromic Auto-Dimming Mirrors are only some of the more common options that are on the windshield of today’s modern vehicles. 

If your windshield has been replaced before with an aftermarket windshield, you can provide the stamped windshield model by looking in the bottom left, right or center of the windshield for black stamped/etched writing.  This is the easiest and most accurate way to verify which windshield your vehicle will require so that we can bring the correct windshield the first time and keep your scheduled appointment.  When looking at the windshield form the outside you will look for a series of 2 letters followed by 5 numbers. An aftermarket windshield is stamped with either a “DWXXXX” or “FWXXXX.”  Don’t worry if you have trouble verifying the above information, we are happy to answer any questions you may have as we’d like to ensure that the correct windshield is chosen the first time!
